- 4 large sweet potatoes or yams

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel and chop sweet potatoes into 1-inch cubes.
- Place yams in a baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, then stir in brown sugar, heavy cream, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
- Pour caramel sauce over yams.
- Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally, until yams are tender and caramelized.
- Garnish with chopped nuts if desired.
Notes
- For a thicker caramel sauce, continue cooking until slightly reduced.
- Feel free to add a dash of nutmeg for extra warmth.
