- 1.5 lbs boneless chicken thighs, cut into chunks
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece ginger, grated
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, chili powder, cinnamon, salt, garlic, and ginger. Marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes.
- Place marinated chicken into slow cooker. Add tomato sauce and butter.
- Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until chicken is tender.
- Stir in heavy cream and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
