Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chopped chocolate and cherries.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are set around the edges.
- Let cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

- For extra flavor, add a splash of cherry liqueur to the dough.
